In Russia, they are working on a unique high-speed hydro-ski boat

7
A high-speed boat with planing skis may appear in Russia, which has no analogues in the world. The design of the apparatus developed by the Central Design Bureau named after Alekseeva, has already received the approval of the NTI Marinet working group. About this the day before he told the agency RIA News Board member of the aforementioned design bureau Sergey Korolev.

The ship got the name "Gyrfalcon". The boat, equipped with an economical gasoline or diesel engine (both options are considered), is a single-hulled boat on hydro-skis. As model tests showed, the device can reach speeds of up to 180 km / h. However, the developers are considering the prospect of increasing this indicator to 200 km / h.

Despite the fact that similar developments have already been carried out not only in the USSR and the Russian Federation, but also in other countries, the functionary claims that their brainchild will be unique in its own way. The designers conducted numerous tests, both in the experimental pool and in open water using various body contours and ski profiles. Now, based on the data received, the developers will choose the best option, which will increase the speed of the innovative vessel.

In addition, Sergey Korolev emphasized that “Krechet” due to its universal platform can be used in almost any purpose. For example, to carry out rescue operations, to monitor compliance by vessels with navigation regimes, to combat poaching, and even for extreme water trips.

It is also worth noting that all the work of the Central Clinical Hospital named after Alekseeva carries out on an initiative basis using his own funds.

Recently, a super-fast helicopter has been announced up to 700 km / h. And how did it end?

That's when it appears, then we will rejoice ...

That is why we need to invent new terms? Alekseev also introduced the term "hydrofoils" into circulation. This is what these ships have been called for decades: hydrofoil ships. I rode them in the 70s. Everyone was fine. No, you need to be smart and come up with some kind of "underwater skiing". The image shows that, in principle, nothing has changed. Moreover, skis are something long, located along the movement. The wing is across the movement.
    What for?

      So why invent new terms?

Ski and wing are two different things. The hydrofoil is located across the body, and the ski along. There is also such a device as redan, which is also designed to raise the hull above the water, but all of these are different ways and you should not combine them under one term

    What for?

Wings protruding beyond the envelope, hazardous property. It can (much more likely) initiate a collision with the fuel. A ski, although less resistant to rolling, is more suitable in this sense. Further. It is possible the hydrodynamics of such an instrument may be more beneficial.

    In what "any purpose"?
For ships of a similar design, as a rule, a limitation on the wave intensity.
Plus to that. For speed and horsepower, which will provide this very speed, you will have to pay not a small fuel consumption.
Of course, there is an application for such development. Only it is unlikely to be in "any destination".

It is necessary to apply shock absorbers to these skis to compensate for water strikes at a point, so that the body is as if weighed, and the ski jumps below ....

The ideas and design developments of the "scoop" are still used ... So much for the "scoop"!
