Conflicts between traffic police and vehicle drivers have long been a "battered" topic for jokes. However, sometimes such “misunderstandings” do not look ridiculous at all and may even lead to injuries to the parties to the dispute. To avoid such situations, an employee of the American research institute SRI International named Ruben Brewer suggests using the robot he created.
The essence of the innovation is that a special retractable module with a “robocop” will be mounted on the left side of the police car and will allow you to communicate with the intruder at a distance through the built-in camera, microphone and display. In addition, the electronic assistant is equipped with a scanner, thanks to which the inspector will be able to quickly check the driver’s documents, as well as with a printer designed to “issue” the penalty ticket to the violator.

Approaching the machine of a potential intruder, the robot “pushes” under it a tape with spikes. In addition, if a particularly violent driver tries to disable the device, it will face the same consequences as when attacking a policeman.
