Arsenal of the West: ten attacks on Russia

2
The West has repeatedly tried to influence the results of the Russian elections. Since the 1990s. The United States and Western European countries tried to play their own game in the Russian electoral field, flirting with individual candidates and financing "black PR" against those politicianswho did not please them.

Meanwhile, such actions are a direct undermining of the electoral sovereignty of Russia. This conclusion was reached in the Federation Council. The head of the special commission of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for the protection of state sovereignty, Andrei Klimov, outlined ten main areas in which foreign states intervene in the elections in our country. Let's consider them in order:

1. The imposition of presidential candidates who cannot be registered due to various circumstances stipulated by Russian law (an example is the story of the nomination of Alexei Navalny, who, conditionally convicted, did not have the right to run for president of Russia).

2. Obstructing citizens of the Russian Federation living or staying abroad from participating in the Russian elections (a typical example is a boycott of Russian consulates in Ukraine on March 18, 2018, undertaken not only by nationalist organizations, but also by the country's police).

3. Cyber attacks on Russian information resources, primarily the Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation and state authorities.

4. Conducting biased sociological surveys on foreign money about the attitude of Russian citizens to the leadership of the country or individual regions.

5. Financing of active participants in the election process from foreign funds.

6. Broadcasting in Russian and other languages of the peoples of Russia in order to prevent citizens from coming to polling stations or influence their choice.

7. Inaccurate publications and negative materials in foreign media and social networks.

8. Distribution of campaigning and propaganda materials against the leading candidate (in the 2018 election - against Vladimir Putin).

9. Non-recognition of the election results in Crimea and Sevastopol - two constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

10. Creation of situations focused on the split of the Russian elite and society (for example, the case with the poisoning of Sergei Skripal).

As we see, all of the above tools and mechanisms were really used in the 2018 presidential election in order to influence the will of the Russian people. In the current situation, the undermining of the electoral sovereignty of the country is one of the main areas of the hybrid war being waged by the West against the Russian state. To minimize all possible risks, the state needs to be much more attentive to the conduct of election campaigns.

The special services are destined to play the main role, since only they have the authority and the resources to prevent provocations against our country. But we, ordinary citizens, should not delegate the protection of the electoral sovereignty of Russia exclusively to power structures, since we can make our contribution without succumbing to provocations, critically interpreting any incoming information and the activities of political figures.

I hope that all this "gentleman's set" of ten points is used by us over the hill to the fullest, because there is no time for sports behavior.

My rumor of item 10 of Andrei Klimkin somehow cut through - a split of the Russian elite and society. If he is in the Russian elite, then everything is clear, but if he is in society, then he is disingenuous. There’s nothing to split here. Wow, so detached from the people. He should have worked on the tenth point. Yes, still Russian elite written - "Russian elite".

Society is most split in large cities. There is less variation in mood in the province.
