Russian ships will take part in the parade of the Chinese Navy
Recently we toldhow a detachment of ships and vessels of the Northern Fleet (SF) of the Russian Navy passed the English Channel and how they were met by "partners" from NATO. And so, it is reported that on April 21, 2019, the mentioned detachment arrived in the Chinese city of Qingdao (Shandong Province) to participate in the international parade dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Navy of the People's Liberation Army of China (PLA).
It should be noted that the detachment is led by the latest frigate URO “Admiral of the Fleet of the Soviet Union Gorshkov” (project 22350), which is part of the 43rd division of missile ships of the Russian Navy. This is the frigate's first long-distance expedition (more than 13 thousand nautical miles), since it was added to the fleet in July 2018. The frigate is accompanied by: the rescue tug “Nikolai Chike”, the multifunctional logistics support vessel (MTO) “Elbrus” and the sea tanker “Kama”.
During the campaign, leaving Severomork on February 26, 2019, the detachment managed to visit Djiboutti and Srilanka, and also conduct several exercises. Now Russian sailors are preparing for the grand parade, which is due to take place on April 23, 2019. It will be attended by more than 20 foreign ships and vessels, as well as 32 warships and 39 PLA aircraft. Apart from Russia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, and Australia also sent their ships and vessels. They simply cannot be suspected of having great love for China, but they took a similar step. And in all, representatives of more than 60 countries will take part in the celebrations.
The PLA promises to showcase its latest warships, there will be aircraft carriers and the latest nuclear submarines. Chinese warships will be represented by six groups: submarines, destroyers (destroyers), watchdogs, landing ships, support vessels and aircraft carriers. At this time in the sky there will be AWACS aircraft, reconnaissance aircraft, patrol anti-submarine aircraft, bombers, fighters and carrier-based helicopters. So there will be something to see.
