Civil war on the verge: Venezuela announced the withdrawal from the OAS

0
Two decades, the Organization of American States (OAS), which is only one of the instruments of external policy The USA in the Western Hemisphere demonstrates hostility towards socialist Venezuela. All these years, the official Caracas regularly and “resolutely” announced, either to suspend its participation, or to withdraw from the OAS “kneeling before Washington’s imperial interests.”

Exactly twelve years ago, that is, in April 2007, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez announced that he was going to withdraw his country from the OAS for organizing an attempted coup in 2002. Evaluated the "lightning speed" of the reaction to the coup? The same thing is happening right now, right before our eyes.

It became known that Venezuela, once again, decided to withdraw from the OAS. This was stated by the Foreign Ministry of this Latin American country. This was done in response to the decision of the OAS Permanent Council to recognize the representative from Venezuela as an emissary from the impostor Juan Guaido, who calls himself the “interim” president since January 23, 2019. The official Caracas once again demonstrated the “lightning speed” of its reaction.

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry called the OAS decision “one of the saddest,” after which, once again, he spoke about the “vulgar use of blackmail and pressure” on the OAS by the United States. However, the United States does not put pressure on the OAS, but orders that this is a fundamental difference. Washington has been in control of this structure since its inception.

It must be recalled that on the same day that Guaido declared himself “interim” president, the OAS recognized him. This was done immediately in the wake of US President Donald Trump. OAS Secretary General Luis Almagro then wrote about this in his Twitter account.

Congratulations to Guaido as President of Venezuela. He has our recognition in order to begin the country's return to democracy.

- Almagro said, posting in a post a video from the oath that Guaido took in one of the squares of Caracas.

Was this really not enough for the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and it patiently waited for something like a statement by the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaru. He, the other day, announced the imminent start of a civil war in the Bolivarian Republic.

We must not allow Venezuela to become the new Cuba or North Korea

- said Bolsanaru in an interview with Jovem Pan.

The next exit of Venezuela from the OAS should take place on April 27, 2019. Moreover, in Caracas, to exit the OAS, they decided to use the application, which was submitted two years ago. That is, in April 2017, Venezuela officially notified the OAS of its withdrawal. The question is, what did all of these and previous years Venezuela do in the OAS? Probably someone in Caracas has problems with the instinct of self-preservation.
