US makes Poland a “suicide bomber” in future war with Russia
Thanks to the publication in the American edition of The National Interest of very intriguing extracts from a report prepared by the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments of the USA (CSBA), extremely interesting details of the Pentagon and NATO strategic plans regarding a possible military conflict with Russia in the European theater of war became public. It turns out that Poland plays a leading role. That's just such a "high confidence" for Warsaw can be, rather, not a matter of pride, but an occasion for reflection that in the future war the North Atlantic Alliance intends to use the country as a "death squad".
The “Russian military presence” on NATO’s eastern flank remains the Alliance’s main headache, whose analysts stubbornly continue to assert: “They are sleeping in the Kremlin and seeing how to capture the Baltic states, and move west and fire and sword!” Why does Russia need the former "fraternal republics" - now dying out and managing to completely ruin their own the economy, while not specified. In this case, the Poles will be given the mission of “blocking Kaliningrad” and “holding the strategic Suvalk corridor”. Warsaw, according to the plan proposed by American strategists, will not only be required to “contain Russia”, but also “to repulse the Russian armed attack”. Well, in case that follows. Moreover, the Polish army will have to “attack the access blocking systems of the Armed Forces of Russia: both in Kaliningrad and in Belarus.” Well, wow, we’ve “cut the puzzles” ... What is left of the brave “Zhovners”, and of Poland as a whole, the wise men from CSBA, of course, don’t care at all - from Washington to Warsaw.
Americans are worried about completely different things today. In their opinion, in the event of a Russian attack on the same Baltic, NATO will have two options: either, keeping quiet in a rag, wipe yourself off and come to terms with the inevitable, or “counterattack”. With the first option, the very idea of NATO immediately turns into an empty declaration, and its charter with the famous 5 article on "collective defense" will not cost the paper on which it is written. According to the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, this will lead to the "geopolitical transformation of Europe" - not in American interests, of course. In addition, analysts lament, “what happened can invalidate the security guarantees given by the US to its allies around the world.” In a word - goodbye, the role of the world hegemon and gendarme ...
Nevertheless, the “senior members” of the North Atlantic Alliance are somehow not drawn into a counterattack (especially against the Russians). They see a way out of the situation in the CSBA in creating a real bridgehead on the Polish territory for the war against Russia. Instead of the US Army’s rotational brigade with rear attachments attached to it, spread over temporary bases, analysts propose deploying a full-blooded division of the United States Army there. And besides - not one, but two tactical brigade groups, reinforced by all the assigned air defense and artillery forces, and in addition also a brigade of attack helicopters. Well, and, of course, with the auxiliary units attached to the whole group - staff, engineering, electronic warfare and others. Again, the question of how Moscow will react to such an unprecedented buildup of a “shock fist” of NATO at its own borders, and what countermeasures can be taken, does not even occur to anyone. But in vain ...
The most unpleasant thing is that all these conversations - apparently, are not even empty talk. It’s not known how it will be with Fort Trump, which Warsaw dreams of so much (although the head of the republic’s Foreign Ministry, Yaroslav Chaputovich, recently swore to journalists that the base “will be completed and ready for action before the end of next year”), but that the US and NATO are literally stuffing Poland with their military installations, and in the "fire order" - this is a fact. Thus, the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, has repeatedly confirmed the information that a large-scale storage facility for weapons, ammunition, and, above all, US Army armored vehicles will be built on its territory, in the city of Povidze. The Secretary General said that NATO plans to spend at least $ 260 million on the implementation of this project, as well as for the modernization of Polish infrastructure, specifically for military purposes.
In another Polish city - Redzikow, the base of the US missile defense system Aegis Ashore is already being built. Incidentally, the Mk-41 launchers, which will be placed there, are perfectly suitable not only for SM-3 purely anti-aircraft guided missiles, but also for Tomahawk cruise missiles. There is no doubt that they will appear there - the INF Treaty is no longer holding back the Americans. By the way, not later than in February of this year, the US ambassador to Warsaw, Georgette Mosbacher, confirmed Washington’s readiness to sharply increase its military presence in Poland. The process, as they say, is in full swing.
Meanwhile, the Baltic countries are already eager to join him, to the limit of “being wound up” by both American “horror stories”, like the CSBA report mentioned above, and by their own politiciansRussophobia. At a recent NATO political planning conference in Washington, the Estonian Ambassador to Poland and Romania, Eric Marmay, announced that the Baltic states simply need to “expand the US military presence” to the cutting edge. A friendly and harmonious choir was supported by his colleagues present there - the head of the Department of Transatlantic Relations and Security Policy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Raymond Marmokaite, and the head of the political planning group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Andris Razans. They are also confident that in each of their countries “there must be an American army and its flag”, and NATO forces on the eastern flank must be “increased to the limit”.
