The death of "Witches" was announced on his page on the social network Facebook by the president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko. Yana Chervonaia died as a result of a direct hit by a mine in the Ukrainian dugout.

Heavy news came from the front. Position 54 ombre were fired by the enemy from mortars. An enemy mine fell into the dugout. As a result, we suffered losses. Yana Chervona and Sergey Milyutin today died in the Donbass from an enemy mine. I personally knew Yana as a volunteer and a person with a cheerful disposition,

The death of Yana Chervona in the Donbass was confirmed by the famous Ukrainian national radical Dmitry Korchinsky and the Ukrainian Armed Forces officer Anatoly Stefan, better known as "Stirlitz."

"Witch" fought in the Donbass since September 2016, was part of the Donbass volunteer battalion. She went to fight despite the fact that her husband and two children were waiting for her at home.

Together with Yana Chervona, Sergey Milyutin, also known as “Grandfather,” died.
