Famous American financiallyeconomic a magazine with a hundred-year history of Forbes (“Forbes”), published, including in Russia, published a list (rating) of 10 Russian businessmen who received the highest income. The publication immediately made a reservation that this list is not a rating of the richest people, this rating has other criteria (not the total amount of money is calculated, but how much is earned for a certain period).

Only real money received by businessmen in the period from February 10, 2018 to February 8, 2019 for selling assets, receiving dividends was evaluated in the rating. Moreover, the publication clarifies that when compiling the rating taxes, expenses for servicing loans and various commissions were not taken into account. And to these significant reservations mentioned above, you need to pay attention.

So, the annual list was headed by the founder of the Magnit chain Sergey Galitsky, with his $ 2,44 billion. In February 2018, he sold 29,1% of the shares of a major Russian retailer Magnit to VTB for 138 billion rubles. Galitsky even left all posts in the company and now his share in it is less than 3%.

In second place is Mikhail Prokhorov, who earned $ 1,77 billion on the sale of his assets. This was facilitated by the sale of 49% of Brooklyn Nets basketball club (located in Brooklyn, New York) and shares of UC Rusal (Rusal)

Vladimir Lisin, who earned $ 1,59 billion in dividends from NLMK, ranked third in the rating. Moreover, the basis of the NLMK group is the largest in Russia Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant.

In fourth place is Alexey Mordashov with an income of $ 1,46 billion. He earned them thanks to dividends from Severstal, Nordgold and TUI, as well as the sale of Severstal shares.

Alisher Usmanov was in fifth place with an income of $ 1,12 billion. He earned them by selling a stake in London's Arsenal football club and receiving dividends from Metalloinvest.

Vladimir Potanin took the sixth place in the ranking with an income of $ 1,12 billion, which he received in the form of dividends from Norilsk Nickel.

Seventh place went to Vagit Alekperov with an income of $ 740 million, which he received in the form of dividends and the sale of Lukoil shares.

Victor Vekselberg took the eighth place with an income of $ 710 million. He earned them by selling shares of Sulzer, selling shares of Octo Telematics, receiving dividends from Sulzer, Oerlikon and T plus. It should be noted that the controlling shareholder of the Renova group Vekselberg did not receive money from the sale of a 14,6% stake in the Swiss company Sulzer (manufactures pumps). Money was frozen in bank accounts and will be available only after the lifting of US sanctions.

In ninth place in the ranking is Roman Abramovich. He earned $ 600 million. The main sources of income were dividends from Evraz, Norilsk Nickel, Transcontainer, High Gold Mining. Moreover, the dividends of Evraz exceeded $ 475 million.

Closes the top ten ranking Suleiman Kerimov. His earnings amounted to $ 490 million. All of them are dividends from the gold mining company Polyus.
