Boeing spacecraft launch failed

The American Starliner could not repeat the success of its "colleague" from SpaceX. At least on the first try. A test launch of the spacecraft developed by Boeing was scheduled for April 29. However, according to the agency RIA News"Citing a source from the Russian space and rocket industry, Starliner unmanned flight to the ISS was postponed for August 17.

Recall that the aforementioned device, like Elon Mask, who successfully passed the Crew Dragon tests, was designed to send American astronauts to the International Space Station. The reason for the delay in the unmanned launch was the problems that arose during the ground tests of Starliner.

Earlier it was reported that the manned mission of the ship is scheduled for August 27 this year. The crew was supposed to include 3 astronauts: Christopher Ferguson from Boeing, as well as Nicole Aunapu Mann and Michael Fink from NASA. Now it will be postponed indefinitely.

Apparently, the American space agency took into account the possible occurrence of problems with the commissioning of its own transport system. Otherwise, why the NASA budget for 2020 still includes the option of concluding a contract with Roscosmos, which provides for the delivery of astronauts from the US to the ISS via Russian Soyuz rockets?

Probably incorrectly nailed sensors were found before the start, and not after, as it was already
