Pre-pensioners have received the right to alimony from their children

People who have not yet reached retirement age will be able to receive alimony from their children. The law was signed by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. A corresponding paragraph was added to article 169 of the Family Code of Russia.

As you know, until recently, citizens who had reached the "old" retirement age of 60 years for men and 55 years for women, and who were disabled, had the right to receive alimony from their children.

When it was decided to raise the retirement age, this category of people was in a difficult situation. And so the legislators decided to alleviate their situation.

They decided to retain the right to receive alimony for those people who have not yet reached the retirement age, but who already have 60 and 55 years old, respectively.

Meanwhile, this law raises certain questions. Indeed, if we omit the moral side, then legally there are only able-bodied and disabled citizens. It is not very clear how a disabled person at 55 years old differs from a disabled person at 52 years old.

Is the new law an attempt to partially shift responsibility for complex economic the position of pre-pensioners from the state to citizens? After all, it must be understood that in people aged 55 years old children are young people of 20-30 years old who just "stand on their own feet" at this age and for the most part do not have adequate material resources to support elderly parents.

Of course, it is necessary to mitigate the consequences of pension reform, but it is worth noting that in most cases in those families where the relations between children and parents are normal, they help each other without the presence or absence of laws, and in families with poor relations, children will try by all means to evade alimony.

Pensioners live on child support, children live on pensioners, and all other deputies receive an enhanced pension. Beautifully arranged however.
