La Moto Volante Flying Transformer Motorcycle Goes On Sale

2
Earlier we wrote about the French designer Louis Lazarete and his flying bike La Moto Volante, which is capable of taking off from the ground with the help of jet turbines. At that time, the development looked too outlandish to become a reality. However, in spite of all skeptics, the latest tests of the device showed that it lived up to its expectations and may even soon be available for purchase.

Like the previous Lazareth model, called LM-847, La Moto Volante is equipped with four wheels combined in pairs and an engine from Maserati with a capacity of 470 horses. However, the main feature of the novelty is that JetCat jet turbines are built into the wheels. Thanks to the latter, the bike can take off from the ground and move through the air.

In order to switch from normal driving along the highway to flight mode, you just need to call on any flat area from where La Moto Volante will be able to take off. According to the developers, the whole procedure will take no more than 1 minute. At the same time, the wheels will take a horizontal position, and two additional turbines built into the chassis will help to detach. The weight of the motorcycle is 140 kg, which in turn requires about 240 kg of thrust from the engine.

During the tests, the futuristic La Moto Volante was able to successfully tear itself off the surface, rise to a meter high and smoothly fall back. The next bike demonstration is scheduled for October this year. The show will be held as part of the Gitex exhibition in Dubai, where, by the way, it will already be possible to make a reservation. The approximate price of a flying motorcycle is 560 thousand dollars.
