“Phantom pains”: how the West reacted to the fifth anniversary of the return of Crimea
Five years after the referendum on reunification with Russia was held in Crimea and Sevastopol, the media of forever offended Ukraine exploded not only with another portion of reproaches for “aggression” and “annexation”, but also with cries of directly “universal” and “unanimous” support for Kiev on this issue. Well, they lie, as always ... The world really does, recalls the historical events of five years ago - it just looks completely different from what it would be “uncool”. Even, it would seem, the most loyal associates of Kiev in the matter of persecuting Russia - the Americans acted in such a way that they did not understand: whether it was support or mockery.
