Gazprom reported: Nord Stream-2 is built on a third

Data on the construction of SP-2 reports TASS with reference to the company Gazprom. The information was announced following the meeting of the chairman of the corporation Alexey Miller and the chairman of the Supervisory Board of Uniper Bernhard Reutersberg.

Recall that the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline is one of the largest modern gas projects in Russia. The laying of the main line in the Gulf of Finland began in September 2018. More than 800 kilometers of pipes are the result of several months of painstaking and hard work.

SP-2 is very important both for our country and for the countries of Western Europe. But that is precisely why its construction is causing so many protests from the partisan political forces.

The United States of America is opposed to the construction of the pipeline, which sees it as a threat to its own economic and political interests in Europe, as well as US satellites in Eastern Europe - the Baltic countries, Poland and, of course, Ukraine.

Kiev believes that after the launch of SP-2, Russia will stop the transit of gas through the territory of Ukraine, which for the country will be tantamount to economic disaster.

On March 12, 2019, the European Parliament adopted a resolution against Russian influence in Europe, which, among other requirements, contained a call to stop the construction of SP-2. However, this resolution is not binding, and the official authorities of Germany and several other EU member states have repeatedly stated the importance of Nord Stream-2 for their states.
