"King of SUVs": the Arab sheikh got an unusual car
Arab sheikhs are people with unlimited possibilities and, as it turned out, with a rich imagination. So, Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan ordered the assembly of an SUV that even Mad Max from the movie of the same name would envy. “Avtomonster” will undoubtedly fall into the Guinness Book of Records, as its design with a stretch fits into the generally accepted framework, and its size seems gigantic even in comparison with the largest jeep.
A five-axle SUV based on the Oshkosh M1075 tractor was assembled. Plus, in his body, features of popular representatives of the American automobile industry are visible: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited, Ford Super Duty and Dodge Dart. The car was named Dhabiyan and weighs as much as 24 tons. The volume of the "monstrous" engine is 15,2 liters, and its power reaches 600 horsepower. The total length of the “King of Roads” is 11 meters, with most of the construction in front of the cab.
The fact that it is impossible not to ignore the acquisition of Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan is a fact. However, in terms of the practicality of Dhabiyan, a host of questions arise. For example, it is not yet clear how convenient it is to control the “monster” and how the problem of the “blind zone” is solved? And yet, how many liters can fit in the tank of an SUV, and also, where in the city can such a giant be parked?
