What annoys Russian life in America
Many Russians have emigrated to the United States over the past three decades. The “American Dream” was usually associated with the growth of financial well-being, self-realization, the beginning of a “new life from scratch”.
But not all of our compatriots liked life in the States. There are too many factors that a Russian person can cause only irritation, if not anger.
Forty-year-old electronic engineer Konstantin has been living in the United States for more than ten years. But he admits that he still could not get used to American reality. Yes, it turns out to make good money, but many of the nuances of life in the United States annoy the Russian emigrant more and more. Constantine identified at least seven main points in the life and behavior of the Americans who infuriate him the most.
Alienation and indifference of people
The basis of the country is its people. So the Americans, about whose famous "Hollywood smile" are tales all over the world, are in reality very alienated from each other. Such indifferent people must still be sought. In the USA there is no concept of “friendship” in the sense that Russians or Arabs, Turks or Indians put into this word. For an American, a “friend” is just a friend from study or work who is kept very distant, keeping a distance. Behind a radiant smile loneliness, indifference and seasoned individualism are hidden.
Stereotype behavior
Most of all in the Americans, Konstantin does not like the fact that they behave "according to the instructions." Yes, there are exceptions, but these are people from marginal strata. As for the American middle class, its representatives in everyday life give the impression that they are acting according to the program set by them. Government phrases, cliches and stereotypes, ready-made patterns of behavior and reactions to the actions of others, complete law-abiding.

Homeless and crime
The United States is considered a country with a high standard of living. But there are a lot of homeless and unemployed in it. Homeless people on the streets of American cities are immediately evident.

There is another category of homeless people who consciously chose this path. They are impudent, can unceremoniously approach on the street and demand to give something from your package.
Crime in the USA goes through the roof. There are areas where you should not even show up even in the daytime. Otherwise, one may run into not a harmless question of the Russian gopniks “Give me a light”, but a knife or a bullet.
Gender relations
Decades of feminist propaganda have not passed for Americans. Local women became grumpy, forgot how to follow themselves. No, if we talk about the upper class, about Hollywood stars, then everything is fine there, but ordinary Americans look much less well-groomed than our compatriots. It is difficult to establish a relationship with them, you don’t really understand how to start caring, so as not to run into accusations of harassment.
American food
The "culinary delights" of Americans are best informed by physicians who treat obesity and cardiovascular disease. The food that is most prevalent in the United States is very harmful and heavy. Many Americans eat only fast food - potatoes, endless hot dogs and hamburgers, washed down with Coca-Cola and similar drinks. This diet does not add health, and many Americans become obese in childhood.
Paid medicine
In Russia, it is customary to blame domestic medicine - they say, without money, doctors will not do anything, and in general the qualifications of doctors are “not that”. But here where there really is no free medicine, it is in the USA. If you do not have medical insurance, then any intervention by doctors overseas will cost fabulous money. At one time, the doctor will need to give several hundred dollars.
High housing prices
One of the main reasons for the appearance of a large number of homeless people is the very high housing prices. Of course, you can buy or rent and inexpensively, but only in remote towns, where there simply is no work. In a large city, the cost of renting the most common one-room apartment will cost 1,5-2 thousand dollars a month. For many Americans, this is a full monthly salary. Therefore, it is easier to live in a tent under a bridge, especially if the climate, like in Los Angeles, allows.
