The United States decided on the position of the provocation of Ukraine in the Kerch Strait

The closer the Ukrainian elections, the more distinctly the United States makes it clear to Petro Poroshenko that he is not the horse that Washington will bet on.

One of the Ukrainian publications, citing a source from among American experts, reported that the United States "denied Poroshenko a rather tough form" in support of a re-provocation in the Kerch Gulf.

The reason for this was the Americans' unwillingness to completely ruin relations with the European Union, which reacted rather coolly to Poroshenko’s failed venture, as a result of which 3 naval equipment of the Ukrainian Navy were confiscated, and 24 sailors and SBU officers were detained by the Russian border service.

Moreover, the desire of the Americans to maintain a unified position with the EU on Russia forced them to voice to the Ukrainian president that if a second provocation takes place, then it could be subjected to public condemnation of the United States.

An American source dealing with Ukrainian issues also said that the Ukrainian side mistakenly interpreted the arrival of the destroyer Donald Cook in Odessa as support for Poroshenko’s crazy undertakings.

However, in fact, the United States sent a warship to the region for a “maritime security operation” and for the Ukrainian president to talk about American support.

Apparently, Washington has already decided the fate of Poroshenko: he will not be allowed to disrupt the elections, he will not be supported in the elections, but they will not refuse to cooperate if by some miracle he wins these elections.
