Poland intends to “take” Kaliningrad and the Baltic from Russia
Relations between Russia and Poland are traditionally very complicated. The Slavic brothers chose the “western path” with their Catholicism and Latin alphabet, and for centuries have been a serious competitor to the Russian state. There was a time when the Poles sat in the Kremlin, and it happened that Poland itself was divided between neighboring countries, and it was an integral part of the Russian Empire.
The historical path led our country to the greatness of a superpower followed by a fall and a difficult and slow rise, and Poland to the status of a secondary, but quite successful state within the European Union on its periphery. Old resentment and thirst for revenge live in the hearts of many Poles, which today largely determines policies Warsaw
Unfortunately, the Polish elites determine their largely Russophobic agenda with an eye on Washington. Last year, the idea of President Duda to place a full-fledged American tank division in Poland gained wide resonance. The US military base could get the symbolic name "Fort Trump." Later, the plans were substantially adjusted, however, Warsaw did not refuse to attract the military from the United States. The head of state said:
It is very difficult not to notice the direction of the military preparations of Warsaw against Russian Kaliningrad. Recall that after the end of World War II, East Prussia, formerly part of the Third Reich, was divided between the USSR and Poland. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Kaliningrad region remained surrounded by countries within the NATO bloc. Now this is our westernmost border, the base of the Baltic Fleet, from where the whole of Europe is shot by the “Iskanders”.
It is also natural that the Kaliningrad region is a priority goal for countries that are members of the North Atlantic Alliance. They regularly conduct military exercises, clearly aimed at sea and land blockade of the Russian enclave. By the way, "Trump" with the American Panzer Division was supposed to serve to block the so-called Suvalk corridor, which could connect Kaliningrad with the Union Belarus. Neighboring Poland has begun the construction of an expensive shipping canal through the Vistula Spit, intended to improve the logistics of a military base located in the city of Elblлонg. The idea was also voiced of the construction of a bulk island by the Polish side, clearly having a military purpose.
And now from Poland another resonant statement was made. The local military expert with a “talking last name” Maximilian Dura suggested blocking Russia in the Baltic, as Warsaw had taken hold of the NSM coastal anti-ship systems:
Note that he is not even talking about the military, but about the civil courts of the Russian Federation. We are talking about the complete blockade of Kaliningrad and the closure of the Baltic for us. Domestic military experts so far dismiss such statements by Polish colleagues, however, the trend, as they say, is obvious.

We expect that this presence will increase, but whether the number of military personnel, or the number of places of their deployment, or the number of training grounds will increase, such a decision will be made by the American side.

NSM missiles with a range of 220 kilometers make it possible to block the movement of civilian vessels heading toward or from Russia along the Baltic Sea.
