In Austria, designed a giant private submarine

A private submarine is what may in the near future become an “indicator” of the status of the powerful. And no, this is not about miniature submarines with a capacity of 2 to 8 people. The well-known design bureau Motion Code: Blue from Austria has taken a swing at creating truly “epic” devices that will not be inferior in terms of comfort even to modern yachts. But, unlike the latter, they will be able to please their master and his guests with underwater landscapes.

We are talking about the project of several pleasure submarines Migaloo M-series. The most affordable will be the M2 model measuring 72 meters, which can accommodate from 24 to 36 passengers. Plus, there are: a restaurant, a bar and a conference room. Option M5 looks like a nuclear submarine. Its size will be 135 meters. At the disposal of passengers will be available: a lounge, a cinema, a gym, a restaurant and even 2 mini-submarines in the rear.

But the models M6 and M7 will become real giants. And, if the size of the first will be 160 m., Then the dimensions of the "seven" are simply breathtaking and equal to 283 meters. Ships have their own team led by a captain and two helipads. Also available here: VIP cabins, a cinema, a gym, a restaurant, a library and even a wine cellar. Passengers will be able to move between decks using elevators.

The speed of the Migaloo M7 above water will be 75 km / h, and under water - 35 km / h. The submarine is equipped with a diesel-electric power plant and a gas turbine engine. It is worth noting that the cost of the largest submarine will also be impressive. The ship will cost $ 2,3 billion. It is not yet clear what the manufacturer is counting on. After all, such a price will make even fabulously wealthy Arab sheikhs seriously think.

A good nuclear-powered submarine is much more reliable than any underground bomb shelter. And if you still lay submarine bases for such a boat, then there is no need to fly to Mars from a cataclysm!

And how much are the yachts of Abramovich and Usmanov? Strongly cheaper?

And in the event of an exacerbation, a military submarine will be hunted by everything that moves.

Well, if in Austria they designed a ski jump, a steam locomotive or an airship, I would understand that. But the fleet in this country, especially the underwater, ended during the First World War. Since then, neither a rumor nor a spirit, and suddenly these are the submarine. Where did they get the design and technological base for this in general, if, apart from river vessels of small tonnage, they had not built anything for a hundred years?
