In the near future, deliveries of Russian-made Lada cars to Iran may begin. Negotiations are underway with Tehran on this issue. This information was shared with reporters by Viktor Kladov, director of international policy and regional cooperation of Rostec State Corporation, on the sidelines of the Aero India - 2019 air show, held in Indian Bangalore.

It should be noted that Rostec is one of the main shareholders of AvtoVAZ, which produces these vehicles.

AvtoVAZ collects cars in Egypt, there is an assembly plant. Negotiations are underway in a number of other countries, such as, for example, Iran.

- said Kladov. He added that details of the agreement are being worked out with the Iranian authorities. In particular, in addition to Tehran’s purchases of Lada cars, it could also be about assembling Russian cars at Iranian enterprises.

Currently, the assembly of Lada cars is carried out at the factories of Kazakhstan and Egypt. Starting in 2021, the Lada 4x4 SUV will probably be launched in Brazil, in the municipality of São José dos Pinhais.

Lada car exports last year grew by 57%. 38 thousand cars a year are sold abroad, 34 states buy them. In 2018, Cuba, Turkey, Chile and Tunisia joined the countries that buy these cars.

Nothing is said about output volumes and prices. And this is the most important thing. Since 38 thousand is almost everything in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and so on.
It would be interesting to know about Chile
