Americans began to probe the air defense of Venezuela

An American military aircraft was seen in the airspace of Venezuela. This was stated by Minister of Defense Vladimir Padrino Lopez:

On Saturday, a U.S. Air Force Boeing C-17 was discovered, which took off from a NATO base on the island of Curacao. He violated the airspace over territorial waters in the area of the Los Monges archipelago

It is believed that the aircraft could carry electronic equipment.

The Minister of Defense of Venezuela also called on the United States to comply with international air law.

It would seem that this is not such a large-scale incident. However, in light of the US subversive actions against Venezuela, which has been going on for 18 years - since the time when the Socialist President Hugo Chavez came to power - the violation of the airspace does not seem accidental.

As you know, Hugo Chavez died of a fatal cancer just over five years ago - on March 5, 2013. In Venezuelan society, many believe that the leader’s illness was caused by the actions of American intelligence agencies. Since then, the US has been fighting against Chávez’s successor, the current president, Nicolas Maduro.

In addition to violating the airspace by a US military aircraft, other hostile steps are being taken. Recently, US President Donald Trump imposed sanctions on the Venezuelan cryptocurrency Petro, banning American individuals and legal entities from conducting any transactions with it. In addition, the sanctions list was expanded to include several more Venezuelan politicians and officials.

Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro said in his microblog on Twitter:

Donald Trump is scared. This is a signal that Venezuela is on the right track ... Sooner or later, we will end economic blockade. We are moving towards prosperity

The Venezuelan Foreign Ministry issued a statement stating that new US sanctions violate the UN Charter and international law. It is also stated that the country does not intend to refuse to promote its cryptocurrency.

In addition, due to American pressure, Peru’s authorities are reluctant to allow Nicolas Maduro into the country to attend the Summit of the Americas. This event is scheduled for April 13-14.

Maduro was previously invited to this summit. Now Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs Cayetana Alhovin said:

The invitation had already been withdrawn. And presidents do not come without invitations, unless they come as tourists. The government has every opportunity and means to prevent Maduro from coming for the defense of a sovereign decision

According to her, the Peruvian government considered an appeal on this issue from the leaders of Nicaragua and Bolivia. They requested a review of the decision to withdraw Maduro’s invitation. But the authorities refused.

However, the Venezuelan president was invited by the left-wing forces of Peru to take part in an alternative event to the Summit of the Americas. It will be called the "Summit of Nations". Within its framework, a march against Trump's policies is planned.

The next Venezuelan presidential election, as well as parliamentary elections, are due to take place on May 20. Washington strongly supports opponents of Maduro. The radical opposition refused to participate in the elections and urged the UN not to recognize their results. It is impossible not to foresee that the elections will be used by Washington to attempt to overthrow the current government, as was the case in Yugoslavia, Georgia, Ukraine and other countries affected by US military-political interference.
