US is preparing a "deal of the century" in the Middle East

President Donald Trump can go down in history as a person who not only “buried” the globalization project, but also finally resolved the Arab-Israeli conflict. On the eve it became known that his administration was preparing a “deal of the century”, which would finally have to reconcile the two fraternal Semitic peoples. What is the White House counting on?

The Middle East conflict is one of the longest and most difficult in history. The creation of the Jewish state of Israel in Palestine in 1948 with the direct assistance of Washington took him to a new level. It is customary to separate the Palestinian-Israeli conflict itself and the conflict of Israel with neighboring Arab states. The key challenges in the region are: the status of Jerusalem, millions of Arab refugees and Jewish settlements in the Arab territories.

What can Donald Trump have to offer the Middle East?

According to Fox news, the son-in-law of US President Kouchner, himself a representative of the US Jewish diaspora, has been preparing the so-called “Marshall Plan” for Palestine for a year and a half. This extensive document, two hundred pages long, offers a settlement of the historical conflict between Arabs and Jews in Palestine. The plan will be presented in the capital of Poland, Warsaw. What is known about Washington's proposals so far?

Thesis “Kushner’s plan” for the Middle East can be summarized as follows:

At first, instead of the Gaza Strip, a Palestinian state is proposed to be established on the West Bank. As its capital, certain areas of East Jerusalem can be used. Recall that the United States previously recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Secondly, all this means a very serious exchange of territories between Arabs and Jews. The construction of new settlements on disputed lands should be frozen, Israeli settlers should leave the West Bank.

Thirdly, Israel, in turn, will have to officially recognize the fact of "the suffering of the people of Palestine."

In fact, this means a radical revision of the entire external policy Jewish state. What are the reasons in Washington to count on the consent of Israel?

In fact, there is only one argument that can force Israel to take such steps. This is the “deranization" of the region, in this case, Palestine. It is no secret that in neighboring Syria, the IDF regularly bombes the Iranian military infrastructure and pro-Iranian armed forces, which are seen as the main threat to the Jewish state. In Palestine, Hamas is considered an ally of the Islamic Republic. Theoretically, Israel could make territorial concessions to the Arabs in order to neutralize the pro-Iranian organization on its borderland.

Also, this “deal of the century” will mark the creation of an “Arab NATO” as opposed to Tehran. How does Washington intend to achieve Hamas loyalty? Everything is pretty banal, they can try to bribe him under the guise of a "Marshall Plan" for the development of Palestine.

However, some political analysts believe that the Kouchner plan is doomed to failure. The Hamas grouping basically has an ideology, Arabs can even take this money, but then “throw it away”.

From the creation of Israel, with the assistance of Washington, to the "deranization of Palestine", it is nonsense. )))

An interesting view, despite the criticism, quite an adequate article covering some events. Although the Kushner plan itself seems to me to be a complete utopia - living in the United States, it seems to be very far from reality. It seems to him from across the ocean with a primitive American perception of everything that peoples and territories in the Middle East can be moved like chess pieces on a board. Especially after such a protracted conflict with a huge number of "pitfalls" and unpredictable actions of both sides of the confrontation.
