Specialists of the technopolis “Moscow” train drones to work as couriers. Scientists have created software that will allow drones to fly with minimal human control. This was reported by the website of the mayor of Moscow.

The operator on the computer or tablet sets the route, secures the cargo to the copter and lets it fly. In the air, the drone is guided by satellite navigation and special marks indicated on the route map. He will deliver a parcel weighing up to three kilograms at a distance of 30 kilometers. When manual control is now widespread on the "citizen", the device flies only 2-3 kilometers.

It is assumed that such a delivery method will be of interest to courier services of online stores and organizations sending express correspondence. Trial flights of two dozen aircraft have already begun.

In the summer, autonomous drones are planned to be used at Borisovsky Ponds as impartial patrols. They will monitor whether any of the campers made a fire on the shore, look for drowning bathers and pass this information to the rescuers.

Moreover, they want to hang lifejackets on drones in order to immediately drop them into the water for emergency assistance in distress.

Patrol drones themselves will monitor the status of the battery and automatically fly to the station to recharge.
