Perhaps much closer to the truth were the American media that taught this news to its readers with enthusiasm. The Washington Examiner literally stated: “France sent a nuclear message to Putin!” And it wasn’t too lazy to decipher this "message" in detail: "We, as always, are ready to attack you with nuclear missiles ..." The hypersonic rocket under development is expected to be able to reach a speed five times the speed of sound - 5 Machs. The first test run is promised by the end of 2021. Obviously, it’s not enough for Paris that the country has the third nuclear arsenal in the world after Russia and the USA (more than 300 warheads of various capacities), which costs 3,5-4 billion euros per year.
