Europe is ready to abandon the dollar after Russia
In Europe, more and more voices are heard calling for the rejection of the American dollar in settlements with Russia. For example, many EU countries agree to switch to the euro. The most promising areas are oil and gas trade. About this in an interview RIA News, said Deputy Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Alexander Pankin.

The diplomat said that Russia now has very tense relations with the European Union, as with an international organization. At the same time, relations with the countries that are members of the European Union are developing more dynamically. Therefore, he cannot give accurate forecasts as to when the European Union can refuse the American dollar. In any case, in his opinion, it is too early to talk about full dedollarization.
The diplomat made it clear that many states on our planet thought about abandoning the American dollar just because Washington, some time ago, began to behave like an elephant in a china shop, i.e. absolutely unpredictable and thoughtless. And now, American protectionism and unreasonable sanction pressure on a large number of countries have added to this "baggage".
