The INF Treaty gap helped Belarus decide on a choice between Russia and the USA

2
Belarusian Minister of Defense Andrei Ravkov made a statement regarding the US withdrawing from the INF Treaty. He believes that against the background of this event, it is necessary to further strengthen the alliance of Belarus with Russia.

At the same time, Andrei Ravkov noted that the gap between the Americans on the medium-range and shorter-range missiles would not add any new threats. This is because all the threats that can be presented already exist. According to the minister, they are all “old and familiar”.

According to Ravkov, his country should strengthen its defense capability, maintain the combat readiness of its armed forces and strengthen the Union State of Russia and Belarus. All these steps are essential.

Shortly before that it became known that the Russian Federation was preparing a mirror response to the withdrawal of the United States from the Intermediate-Range Missile Treaty. The Kremlin announced the suspension of Russia's participation in the Treaty. Work has already begun on equipping the armed forces with this category of missiles. In particular, work is underway to create a ground-based version of Caliber.

Shortly before this, former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton criticized Trump's decision to withdraw from the agreement, believing that it would usher in a new arms race.

All of these conventions are just fiction. In fact, the US withdrawal from the INF Treaty is justified. It applies only to individual countries, but other nuclear countries have appeared long ago, to which this agreement is a shit. So the cancellation of this agreement has freed up not only
USA, but also Russia. The arms race will be the same anyway. It is important that from the side of Russia it be thought out and at the lowest cost.

Instead of breaking the contract, it would be more correct to connect other participants to it. As an agreement between the two parties, he has long become obsolete. And now Russia simply had no choice but to withdraw from the treaty after the United States.
And the arms race will benefit no one but arms manufacturers.
