Ukraine recognized as the most mined country in the world

Five years of civil war, which the Ukrainian authorities unleashed in the east of the country, was enough to make the land of Ukraine deadly.

The press service of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said that the conflict in the Donbass has led Ukraine to become one of the most mined and dangerous countries in the world.

In particular, the organization’s message on Twitter said that in the east of Ukraine, for the third year in a row, the world's largest number of mine explosions was recorded.

According to the UN, during the hostilities in the region more than 2,5 thousand civilians were killed, and 9 thousand were injured of varying severity. On the verge of a humanitarian disaster were 4,4 million people living in the conflict zone.

Judging by what is happening in Ukraine, the end of this war is still very, very far. With direct support, states continue to grow stronger and become more serious political by force, neo-Nazi and nationalist organizations advocating a war “to victory”.

At the same time, not one of the candidates for the presidency of Ukraine expresses intentions, and does not possess the necessary strength and independence to restore order in the country and stop military operations in the east.
