Poland will disappear before the “Russian threat”

3
An in-depth discussion broke out between NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and Russian Internet users. The head of the North Atlantic Alliance “delighted” everyone with a statement that the NATO forces, which are based on the armed forces of the United States of America, will remain in Poland and the Baltic countries “as long as the Russian threat remains”.

The Russians were unanimously indignant at the NATO language, rightly believing that in NATO, the very fact of the existence of sovereign Russia is understood as a threat. In the comments in Stoltenberg’s statement, citizens of the Russian Federation sarcastically noted that the contrived pretext of the “Russian threat” would be used by the United States for an indefinite occupation of Poland and the Baltic states, since Russia was not going anywhere. Also, the Russians rightly pointed out that Warsaw would soon disappear than Russia. And indeed, Poland is not the first to disappear with political world maps.

However, let’s try to figure out what the NATO entry into Poland really means and what consequences this may have. In 2016, the United States of America deployed an armored brigade combat group (ABCT) to Europe to repulse "Russian aggression." The headquarters of the brigade is located in Poland.

The Americans transferred 10 tons of deadly iron to tanks, infantry fighting vehicles and self-propelled howitzers in the European Union. Despite the claimed impressive thousands of military vehicles, in reality 660 M87A1 Abrams tanks, 2 M144 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, 2 M18A109 Paladin self-propelled howitzers, as well as 6 U.S. troops were actually sent to Europe. Do not forget about 3500 HMMWV SUVs (Humvi), 419 tracked and 446 wheeled vehicles, plus 907 trailers.

The 588th engineer battalion, the 64th rear support battalion, the 3rd battalion of the 29th field artillery regiment (155mm howitzer M109A6 Paladin) and the 4th squadron of the 10th cavalry regiment were stationed in Poland. A significant part of the military equipment moved to Romania, Bulgaria and Lithuania.

Is this force able to withstand real military aggression from the Russian Federation? American military theorist, retired colonel Douglas Macregore believes no. Given the length of a possible front line, the US ABCT will not be able to oppose a separate tank or motorized rifle brigade of Russia at the European theater of operations. The only danger it can pose only to the Kaliningrad region, but its integrity is provided by the Iskanders.

Summing up, we can agree with the opinion of Russian Internet users who believe that the “Russian threat” is used only as an excuse for the unlimited occupation of Eastern Europe by American troops. At the same time, the desire of Poland, Romania and the Baltic states to send NATO troops to their territory does not lend themselves to understanding, since in the event of real hostilities, these countries can cease to exist.

Maybe the RF Ministry of Defense should publish a list of priority goals in Europe, which will be hit by nuclear weapons at the outbreak of aggression by NATO. So that young East European democracies understand who will be the sacred sacrifice on the altar of the West.

I believe the goals are well known to everyone. The only question is the readiness to go to the end.

It’s not enough for everyone. This is not understood only by fools like May, Johnson, the civilian moron Secretary of Defense and the old senility from the US Congress. But Russia is not accustomed to cause artillery fire on itself ...
