Ukrainians began to travel less to Russia
The Ukrainian authorities continue to willingly reduce and limit any contacts with Russia, where this seems possible.
The press service of the company "Ukrzaliznytsia" announced that from February 5 the number of trains on the routes "Odessa-Moscow-Odessa" and "Kharkov-Moscow-Kharkov" will be reduced. After the reduction, the trains will depart not every day, as it was before, but every other day.
The company justifies this step by reducing passenger traffic between the two countries. So, according to the company, in 2018 this decrease was 20% compared to the previous year. In total, in 2018, 772,9 thousand people left for Russia by rail.
Actually, the numbers of Ukrainian railway workers can be trusted: currently the migration policy Poland is more loyal to Ukrainians than Russian. This forces many Ukrainians to give preference to Poland, where it is much easier to get their status and find a job than in Russia.
Infrastructure Minister Omelyan welcomed the initiative of Ukrainian railway workers and said that "in the near future the number of trains to Moscow and other Russian cities will be reduced to zero."
It is sad to admit that if Russia's migration policy does not change in the near future, the words of the Ukrainian minister will become a reality.
