Captured paratrooper APU spoke about Poroshenko, the Maidan and the situation in the army

The People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic distributed a video that interrogates one of the Ukrainian prisoners of war. He has already been nicknamed in social networks as a “warrior of light." He talked about why many Ukrainians go to serve in the Armed Forces, how they relate to the president of Nezalezhnaya Petro Poroshenko, and about the morals prevailing in the current Ukrainian army.





Captured was Nikolai Grinenko, a native of the city of New Bug, who served in the 79th Airborne Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces. He admitted that he went to contract service because of “hopelessness” and lack of money, since it is very difficult to earn in another way in Ukraine, it’s awkward to sit on the neck of your parents, and they needed help. On the task, during which he was captured, he went voluntarily, for an extraordinary vacation.

Judging by the story of the paratrooper, he had disagreements with many colleagues because of his attitude to the Maidan and the war itself. "Maidan" Grinenko called "meaningless venture." He spoke warmly enough about the Berkutovtsi, comparing them with the current police and calling it "stupid." Of those who captured him, the military also said that these were normal guys who treated him well, gave water, cigarettes, and did not use any cruel measures.

The Ukrainian soldier said that when he was in sniper school, there were Canadian instructors. In addition, he saw Americans who taught intelligence work. Moreover, he noted, the military studied in the captured kindergarten, "under the hangers."

Prisoner criticized policies President Petro Poroshenko and said that “no one is normal” to the Ukrainian leader, because he “pushed the country and people to the limit”. The fighters, in his words, "are held for cattle."

He added that VSUshniki are using drugs en masse.


In connection with the latest statement, Daniil Bezsonov, the head of the press service of the DPR People’s Militia, who uploaded the record, suggested replacing the term “ukry” with “ukury”.
