The end of sticking: MacBook will get a glass keyboard

Despite the fact that Apple is making every effort to get rid of sticky keys on the MacBook, the problem remains to this day. The manufacturer has already managed to release as many as three mechanisms "butterfly" and even added a special pad that protects the keyboard from dust and debris. However, this did not affect the final result.

And so, the day before, the “apple company” registered a patent, the implementation of which could put an end to incoming complaints. This is a glass panel designed to replace the “problem” keyboard on the MacBook. The bottom line is that on a solid surface, completely protected from dust, in the form of small bulges will be located keys. Each such section is equipped with a sensor that responds to pressing force.

In principle, the device resembles a virtual keyboard on smartphones. However, unlike the latter, it has a larger size and distance between characters. In addition, under pressure, the glass keys will bend slightly, simulating a conventional input tool.

At the moment, only one thing is unclear: whether the characters on the keyboard will be engraved, or each key will receive a separate small display. The latter option, by the way, could display not only “letters” for the selected language layout, but also icons for quickly launching applications.
