Apparently this is guided by Volkswagen, which decided to "give a second chance" to an unusual vehicle. Moreover, the latter was modeled on the famous Beetle platform, owned by a German concern and allowing developers to "create" in terms of design.
Naturally, the "remake" of the buggy from Volkswagen is not just a recreated model of the last century. The device will receive a new design, will operate on an electric drive and include all modern control systems, up to autopilot.
The main goal of the German concern, which decided to revive rarity, is to demonstrate the aforementioned Beetle platform, which was once again modernized in 2011. The developer wants to prove that not only serial cars, such as the Beetle, but also exclusive vehicles can be created on it.
According to preliminary data, the modern Volkswagen buggy will be presented in March this year at the Geneva Motor Show. The main characteristics and price of new items have not been disclosed.
