Intel is working on a flexible prism smartphone

"Passion" on flexible gadgets continues. New technology all self-respecting manufacturers have already managed to apply. Moreover, the trend affected not only companies specializing in smartphones. Participation in the "marathon" was also attended by: Microsoft, IBM and Qualcomm.





And now, on the eve, it became known that Intel will develop an unusual gadget. The corresponding patent registered by the company, the publication reported LetsGoDigital. It turns out that the largest chip maker plans to create not just a folding smartphone in half, but something innovative that we have not seen before.

According to the document, it will be an “electronic device with folding panels”, consisting of 3 screens and when deployed, similar to a large tablet. What is characteristic, the mechanism of folding into a state of a smartphone differs from that which other manufacturers have already implemented in their products. Parts of the apparatus will both collapse inward and turn outward. The result is a kind of prism with three displays.


Transformer interface elements will be controlled by a stylus. About the filling, price and release date of new items at the moment nothing is known.
