Stan Robot takes care of your car

Parking at major airports, especially during the holiday season, can significantly spoil the mood before the long-awaited trip. The process is complicated by the fact that there are too many cars around, and on huge sites it is extremely difficult to navigate. Now, thanks to the French developers, this problem is easily solved. Stanley Robotics invented a robot named Stan that will park your car on its own.

All that needs to be done to the vehicle owner is to drop into a small box, go through registration in the system and board the plane. The abandoned car will be delivered to the designated parking space by the aforementioned robot. And upon arrival, you can pick up your car at any time.

"Parking" Stan outwardly resembles a wheeled platform with a pallet. It performs all its functions completely autonomously and is perfectly oriented in space thanks to the built-in lidar. The vehicle is installed on the platform, delivered to the intended place and "unloaded" with the help of grippers that lift it by the wheels.

The robot is currently being tested in the air harbors of Paris and Lyon. And in case of successful testing, Stan will be able to prove himself in August at the largest British airport Gatwick, where 170 parking spaces will be allocated for him. However, according to the developers, their robot will be able to fit on this area 100 cars more.
