However, the designers did not stop experimenting, trying to create an alternative.





And so, on the eve, the American company NuBike introduced a project fundamentally new Technology control, which is based on a lever drive. Now you will need to not pedal, but alternately click on them. According to the manufacturer, this option is more energy efficient than the one we are used to.

The essence of the mechanism is that while riding such a bicycle, its owner must press on a pair of long levers connected by a crank, which ultimately transmits the rotation to the shaft. The drive is equipped with 4 gears, and the frame is made of carbon fiber.


The mass of the novelty is only 10 kg. At the same time, you will have to pay as much as $ 3600 for such a bike. The company says that the device will go into series, and its delivery is scheduled for August 2019.
