Cotton sprouts rose on the moon: Chang'e 4 sent the first pictures

It seems that at the moment, China is the undisputed "master" of the moon. On January 3 of this year, the Chinese Chang'e-4 module successfully landed on the "dark" side of our satellite. This became a historical event, and, naturally, the attention of all mankind was riveted to it.

On the first day of the landing, the apparatus sent pictures of the adjacent surface. Now, the first results of biological experiments have become known.

As mentioned earlier, together with the module, the seeds went to the moon: rapeseed, potatoes, cotton, carapace, as well as Drosophila larva and yeast spores. All biological samples have been carefully selected and have minimal weight, as the spacecraft's carrying capacity is limited.

And so, on the eve of the first pictures of the shoots of cotton were obtained. Despite the fact that the shoot is located in a special container inside the lunar rover, it was the first plant in history to sprout under low gravity and high background radiation.

Thus, according to the Chinese CCTV channel, the first biological experiment on the surface of our natural satellite was successful. However, the Chang'e-4 program is not over here. The whole world is looking forward to further News about the studies conducted on the moon.
