Dirty Legends: The Five Most False Myths about the Battle of Moscow

15
In January, we are waiting for the next anniversary of a historical event - the end of the great battle for Moscow, during which in late 1941 - early 1942 the first of the Red Army’s historic victories over the Nazi hordes invading our land was won. At the same time, in the bad “perestroika” years, when a crowd of liberal-democratic talkers who imagined themselves to be “champions of the truth” rushed to denigrate indiscriminately all the significant milestones of our heroic history, many “revelations” were made about these glorious days. As a result, the battle for Moscow has overgrown with a host of "dirty" legends and completely ridiculous myths. It's time to dispel at least the main ones.

1. The battle for Moscow was won not by the Red Army, but by “General Frost”

Talk that "the Russians win solely due to the harsh climate of their country" has been going on for far from the first century. Thus, Napoleon Bonaparte tried to justify his own defeats. Yes, the fact that the Wehrmacht was not prepared for warfare in the conditions of the “terrible Russian winter” has a huge share of truth. “Aryan superhuman” ringing frostbitten ringing on the frozen parts of bodies, military technique, flatly refusing to start, and even tightly “seized” gun grease - all this was. However, a reasonable question arises - who prevented proper preparation ?!

The thing here is that in Hitler’s plans Moscow should have fallen before the first cold weather. The Fuhrer’s full confidence that the Soviet Union would crumble under the very first blows of the Wehrmacht, like a house of cards, was precisely the reason why German regiments and divisions found themselves in the snowy suburbs of Moscow suburbs in fishcoats and summer boots. Yes, and with non-firing rifles ... The ravings of Hitler and his strategists, who seriously planned to enter Moscow no later than August 25, 1941, were broken by our grandfathers and great-grandfathers who, with their heroism, tore off the vaunted “blitzkrieg”. The Wehrmacht was not ready for such a war.

And, by the way, no climatic conditions (much harsher than in Russia!) Prevented the Nazis from capturing the very same Norway and Denmark in a matter of days. Attacked in the spring? So it was necessary to hold out until the winter - then the Fritz would also be frostbitten. And if you capitulate, like the Danish king, two hours (!!!) after the outbreak of hostilities, then no “general frost” will help. The German warriors, alas, were not female and muscular young ladies - severe frosts did not prevent them from wielding, for example, in Finland. So - no need to repeat the "excuses" ruthlessly "conquerors" ruthlessly beaten by a Russian soldier. It’s not the climate.

2. No heroic deeds were made during the defense of Moscow. Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya and the Panfilov’s - an invention of Soviet propaganda

For those who are trying to pour mud at the graves of heroes who have laid their heads in battles for our Motherland, and, moreover, who have received a fierce, martyr's death at the hands of the invaders, it would be worth, in my opinion, if you do not tear off the lascivious tongues, then at least present with parties to the state lawsuits, the amounts of which once and for all would discourage them from spitting on shrines. Although, tearing off, of course, is preferable ...

I will not repeat all that disgusting lie that periodically sounds to the soldiers standing to death on the Volokolamsk highway or the Komsomol girl, without fear having gone to the German rear and sacrificed herself. I, right word, amazed by the cynicism of those who enthusiastically “take apart the bones” of moments that seem to the archived generation of “democrats” to the generation that has never seen war. Tell me, what decides the answer to the question: how many “Panfilovites” did 28 die, or a hundred? And who actually commanded them - political instructor Klochkov or someone else? But did he really say: “Nowhere to retreat - Moscow is behind!” or did his words, after which he gave his life for his homeland, sound somehow different? What's the difference!? Some muffled references, materials of investigations of the Chief Military Prosecutor’s Office, memoirs and revelations, often causing strong doubts about their authenticity, drag in the light of day. It has long been proven: the battle was. German tanks were perched on our soldiers across the frozen field. And it was death ... And there were heroes who corrected her with courage.

With no less persistence, some are trying to prove that Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya was “a terrorist who set fire to the houses of peasants”, and they sang her and awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union (the first among all the Soviet women and girls who fought!) Exclusively for the phrase “Stalin will come! Stalin will take revenge! ” In the village of Petrishchevo, where Zoya was captured and tortured by fighters of the fighter squad, three houses and a stable were actually burned. But the Germans were at that time in the village! This is a war ... And the invaders could not be given a second of respite, or a second of rest. She didn’t say exactly what Stalin would take revenge for her - she simply shouted the words to the executioners that the reckoning would come, and that the whole Soviet people could not outweigh them.

Here are just the words of the Komsomol member turned out to be a prophecy - the Supreme, learning about her death, gave the order: under no circumstances should I take soldiers and officers from the unit that killed Zoya. Not one of the bastards from the 332th Wehrmacht infantry regiment lived to see the end of World War II. So Stalin avenged the Soviet people ...

3. Moscow was planned to be "turned over" to the Germans, and, having mined - to blow up and burn to the ground

This is complete nonsense, of course. On the surrender of the capital was not discussed in principle. Yes, some state and government institutions, a number of enterprises were evacuated. Yes, the NKVD bodies created an underground - prepared safe houses, warehouses with weapons, explosives and medicines were being prepared, other measures were taken to continue the struggle, even if the enemy captured the city. And what, wasn’t it? As for the mood of the leadership of the state and the party, then, according to the recollections, Stalin, in his usual manner, sincerely advised his comrades who came to him with proposals for evacuation "to take shovels and dig graves for themselves." After which he stated that he would not leave the capital, and if the Nazis broke through the city, he would personally lead the Kremlin regiment in a counterattack.

Regarding mining ... Yes, it was. However, there was no talk of any “solid” laying of explosives. On this occasion, there is evidence of Pavel Sudoplatov, who personally supervised this process. In his words, there is more faith, in my opinion, than the fabrications of “perestroika” trepakov. So, the "main saboteur of Stalin" clearly indicates that "only a few objects were prepared for the explosion." The list of such is well known - the stage of the Bolshoi Theater, the restaurant halls of the National and the Metropol, the assembly hall of the Government House. Plus some more places, like the old German church in Starosadsky lane of Moscow. I think there is no need to explain why this was done, and why the explosives were located there.

In the case of the capture of Moscow, the “winners” who decided to hold any special events or services on this occasion would expect a very “warm” welcome. And, by the way, the idea that Moscow after its capture by the "valiant Wehrmacht" should be destroyed to the ground, and in its place it is necessary to build a "man-made sea" did not belong to Stalin or Zhukov, but to Adolf Hitler personally.

4. The NKVD officers did not defend Moscow, but continued to “butcher»

This is a lie, which can’t be even the crater. Not to mention the fact that the soldiers in the “cornflower-blue” caps fell a huge burden to maintain order and the rule of law in the capital (especially after the introduction of a state of siege there), not to mention their fight against enemy spies, saboteurs and scouts, the NKVD officers fought with advancing Nazis, and fought heroically. In October 1941, a separate motorized rifle brigade of special purpose (OMSBON) of the NKVD troops of the USSR was formed in Moscow for this.

By the way, in addition to employees of the department and cadets of its educational institutions, students and teachers of the capital's universities, well-known athletes and people in creative professions — artists, directors, and journalists — massively joined as volunteers. Yes, there was a time ... First of all, the OMSBON became the base for training reconnaissance and sabotage units that defiantly and professionally acted against the Nazi invaders in the occupied territories. "Walkers", "Olympus", "Winners", "Falcons", "Hunters" - the fighters of these groups caused panic in the Nazis throughout the war, wreaking death and destruction in enemy orders, appearing from nowhere and disappearing nowhere.

The contribution of both the fighters of this truly elite special forces of the NKVD and the ordinary employees of the department to the victory near Moscow, to the fact that the Nazis who came to our land literally burned under their feet is impossible to overestimate. No less was their merit in achieving the final Victory over the enemy. By the end of the Great Patriotic War, only OMSBON fighters had more than 130 thousand Nazis annihilated! Every tenth of its warriors did not return from battlefields and combat exits beyond the front line. This is about the NKVD officers who "sat in the deep rear" ...

5. The victory near Moscow was fruitless and futile

That is, in fact, the most important of the myths sounds, for the sake of "proof" of which all the others are piled. Like, why did they put, defending the capital more than half a million people (namely, such were the irretrievable losses of the Red Army in that battle)? It was necessary to act like Kutuzov - to surrender the city, and only then ... After all, the victory in the winter of 1942 in the same year was followed by bitter defeats, huge losses and the abandonment of all new territories of the USSR. So was it worth it to die near Moscow ?!

Arguing in this way can either people who are completely ignorant of the military history of our country, or notorious liars. First of all, the significance of Moscow during the two wars was completely different. In 1812, the Russian army did not surrender the capital to the enemy! In 1941, the capture by the Nazis of Moscow would mean, in fact, their victory. In this case, the whole world would come to an unambiguous conclusion - the USSR was defeated, and the German army really has no equal on the planet. Not to mention facts that are well-known - such as Japan and Turkey joining the Third Reich in this case on the side of the Third Reich, I allow myself to note that among many historians there is a belief based on concrete facts that after the fall of Moscow Britain would also go over to Hitler’s side in the company of the United States. More than a possible option - evidence of its credibility without much difficulty can be found in serious primary sources, such as memoirs of the same British diplomats.

Be that as it may, but the battle for Moscow, which ended with the Rzhev-Vyazemsky offensive operation, conducted from January 8 to 25, 1942, not only threw the enemy 100 - 250 kilometers from the capital and brought liberation to the inhabitants of more than 11 thousand settlements. In the snowy fields of the Moscow Region not only the inglorious end of hundreds of thousands of “conquerors” was found - the myth of the “invincibility” of the Wehrmacht was forever dispelled there. Yes, the Red Army had to deliver a lot of fatal blows to Nazism and its military machine - in Stalingrad, on the Kursk Bulge, and further, to Berlin itself, where our grandfathers drove the last aspen stakes into the rotten grave of the "millennium Reich", which they were going to build on blood and the bones of the Soviet people ....

However, the beginning of our Victory was laid precisely near Moscow - and the memory of that great battle, of the heroism of its participants should be forever sacred to us.

"Victory near Moscow" played a cruel joke on the Soviet command. Ofigev from the fact that the Germans were able to be thrown away from Moscow, it seemed in a hopeless state, the Soviet command fell ill with an unjustified "victorious disease." She gave rise to an unhealthy euphoria "on top", which then led to many tragedies in the Crimea, and in the Caucasus and in Stalingrad and near Rzhev ...

Well, okay. You and Hitler would have been better off defeating the Red Army. But the latter kept on joking in her unique style. In the end, the Nazis died of laughter. What is the bad version for you?

Dirty Legends: The Five Most False Myths ...

I would not even use the words "legends" and "myths". And I would leave the phrase: dirty lie.
Distributors of such lies should be imprisoned for 10 years, and then deprived of Russian citizenship and expelled from Russia.

Yes, no. Stories as sciences are already misinterpreted by all and all so-called historians.

for me in this matter (WWII), the authority is Alexei Isaev (candidate of historical sciences) - one of the most serious researchers of the Great Patriotic War, on YouTube there are many clips with his reports - it is very interesting and informative, it relies on archival documents, at least gag, clear head and bright mind - a good guy

Why is the former country dishonored? Due to the fact that this is beyond the power. This country was captured by those who were waiting for Hitler to come. But, since he did not succeed, I had to do it ourselves.
