ASUS presented a powerful gaming ROG Mothership with an unusual design

The beginning of 2019 turned out to be a "bread" for lovers of computer battles. Several new models of gaming laptops and consoles have already been introduced. However, ASUS has proposed a fundamentally new version of a powerful PC for gamers.

ASUS ROG Mothership is a cross between a laptop and a candy bar. Of course, it’s difficult to call a portable device, since it weighs as much as 5 kg. However, the device looks, naturally, much more compact and attractive than a regular desktop computer.

Conventionally, the “game monster” from ASUS can be divided into 2 parts: a rather thick 17-inch display with “stuffing” and a cover with a built-in wireless keyboard. The latter is attached to the main structure with magnets. So, disconnecting it from the screen, you can turn the ROG Mothership into a regular candy bar.

Himself "sistemnik" is installed on the hinged legs. Inside there is an “enviable” filling: Intel Core i9-8950HK chip, RAM up to 64 GB and mobile RTX 2080. All this power requires the installation of 2 power supplies at once, which, in fact, determines the thickness and weight of the device.

The display of the new product boasts HD resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz with a response of 3 ms. The “unusual” gaming computer should go on sale in the spring of 2019. The cost of ASUS ROG Mothership is not yet known.
