The lightest laptop in the world: Acer introduced the new Swift 7

The Swift 7 model carry only 890 grams and its thickness is 9,95 mm. This record-minimum weight was achieved through the use of an alloy of lithium, aluminum and magnesium, from which the body of the novelty is made.
Plus, the manufacturer narrowed the scope of the device. Now the display occupies 92% of the entire top cover of the laptop. At the same time, the 14-inch Swift 7 requires less space than most 13-inch models. The ideal solution for those who love to work on the go.
It is also worth noting that the screen of the laptop is made by Technology IPS and has Full HD resolution, the touchpad is protected by Gorilla Glass, and the device’s power button is equipped with a fingerprint scanner. The key travel of Swift 7 is minimal (a bit unusual), which is not surprising, given its thickness. But the latter have a backlight.
Depending on the assembly, the device can be equipped with 8 or 16 GB of RAM and 256 or 512 SSDs. The laptop operates on the Intel Core i7-8500Y CPU, which is slightly weaker than the other chips in this series. But it heats up much less, and does not make noise, as the developers managed to "do" without a cooler. A single laptop battery charge is enough for about 10 hours of operation, which also distinguishes it from its closest competitors.
The preliminary price of the base model Acer Swift 7 will be $ 1699. The novelty will go on sale in May 2019.
