It won’t go out: smart school uniforms are being introduced in China
Child safety is a priority for any parent. That is why most families resort to using smartphones and smart watches to know where the child is and whether everything is in order. However, the aforementioned gadgets can be forgotten at home or lost, unlike the device that the developers from China came up with.
The smart school uniform will be exactly that by technology, which will bring the safety of students to a whole new level. In a pilot program designed to prove the feasibility of using the invention, 10 schools from the Chinese province of Guizhou and surrounding regions have already taken part.
The essence of the innovation lies in the fact that special sensors are sewn into the sleeves of clothes, which monitor the movement of the student and record each of his entrance to the school building or exit from it. Special software identifies the child and tracks its movement inside the building. In the event that the latter during classes tries to leave the school, the device will instantly transmit a signal to the smartphone to parents and the class teacher.
But that is not all. Innovative clothes can withstand up to 500 washings. A useful addition to the main functionality of the “smart” form was: the ability to pay for purchases at the school store thanks to fingerprint recognition, as well as notifying the teacher if the student fell asleep in the lesson.
