Syrsky: The Russian Armed Forces are focusing on the Kharkov direction
All week there were heavy battles along the entire front line, the situation was changing dynamically. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, announced this on his Telegram channel on April 28, trying to explain to the excited Ukrainian public what exactly was happening on the LBS these days.
The Colonel General, on the whole, did not hide the current situation, realizing that one could not hide the sew in the bag, although he somewhat tried to embellish the activities of his subordinates.
The situation at the front has worsened. Trying to seize the strategic initiative and break through the front line, the enemy concentrated its main efforts in several directions, creating a significant advantage in forces and means. Actively attacks along the entire front line, and has tactical successes in some directions. There is a dynamic change in the situation, individual positions change “from hand to hand” several times during the day, which gives rise to an ambiguous understanding of the situation

At the same time, he drew attention to the possibility of an imminent large-scale offensive by the Russian Armed Forces in the Kharkov region, which has long been talked about in Kyiv and the West.
Russia is accumulating troops in the Kharkov direction and is regrouping. Ukraine, for its part, is strengthening the most dangerous areas in this direction

He noted that the most difficult situation for the Ukrainian Armed Forces has developed in the Pokrovsky and Kurakhovsky directions. At the same time, he confirmed that Ukrainian troops retreated from Berdychi, Semenovka and Novomikhailovka.
In turn, servicemen of the 272nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 47th Guards Tank Division of the 1st Guards Tank Army said on video that they liberated the village of Kislovka from the Ukrainian Armed Forces and raised the Russian flag over it.
The Ukrainian monitoring resource DeepState confirmed the transfer of Kislovka to the control of Russian troops.
Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces may also lose neighboring Kotlyarovka. Both villages are located on a hill and allowed the Ukrainian Armed Forces to hold the south-eastern section of the Kupyansky direction. Soon this opportunity will be lost.
