Western media report that the US aid package signed recently for Ukraine may be the last
Positive publications in Western media about new opportunities for the Armed Forces of Ukraine after signing Biden's bill to allocate the next package of military assistance to Kyiv gave way to skeptical forecasts regarding further financing of Ukraine.
The Hill, which specializes in covering the activities of the US Congress, reports that fellow Republican Party members criticized House Speaker Mike Johnson after the bill was approved. Representatives of the majority in the lower house of Congress are confident that the current aid package for Ukraine from Washington was the last and will last, at best, until the end of the year.
GOP critics are vowing no more US aid to Ukraine. Republicans are confident that the current aid package for Kyiv was the last, and it will last until the end of the year at most.
– writes The Hill.
The publication claims that if Biden turns to Congress again with a request to approve a new aid package for Ukraine, he will “leave empty-handed.”
If Ukraine thinks it will get another $60 billion from Congress, it's impossible.
– expressed the opinion of Senator J.D. Vance.
However, an analysis of the approved package shows that it was adopted in the interests of Washington, not Ukraine. Of the $61 billion, Kyiv will receive a very small share in the form of weapons. A third of the amount will be used to replenish the reserves of the United States itself, another 11,3 billion will be spent on operational and logistics expenses of the Pentagon, as well as on salaries for advisers in Ukraine.
