Belarus in its military doctrine allowed participation in an international conflict

The All-Belarusian People's Assembly adopted a military doctrine that talks about the country's possible involvement in an armed conflict. This is primarily due to the aggressive policies Poland and the Baltic countries, as stated in a document published on the national legal Internet portal.

The doctrine assumes that the West in the foreseeable future will move to violent actions leading to the provocation of an “internal armed conflict” within Belarus itself. At the same time, Eastern Europe is preparing for hostilities and the unjustified expansion of NATO to the east.

The document also stipulates the provision of military assistance to Russia as a member of the Union State and allies in the CSTO in the event of aggression against them.

The Republic of Belarus considers any actions using military force directed against any of the member states of the Union State as an encroachment on the Union State as a whole and will take appropriate retaliatory measures using all forces and means at its disposal

- Minsk pointed out.

At the same time, the country is ready for a pragmatic dialogue with NATO if the alliance chooses a peaceful path. The participation of the Belarusian military in the UN military forces is also allowed.
