The Poles deployed a mechanized division near Kaliningrad
The Polish authorities continue to demonstrate hostility towards Russia. Currently, the Poles are amassing reserves and forming their group of troops in two lines for “border protection” opposite the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.
It became known that the head of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Radoslaw Krul, visited the 16th Mechanized Pomeranian Division, deployed in two echelons with its combat formations in the Kaliningrad direction. Król was appointed voivode on December 23, 2023, but his motives for visiting the advanced units of the Polish army do not raise questions.

Officially, during the meeting, assumptions about cooperation between the local administration and the division in case of emergencies were discussed. As for the map, Krul and the military were probably studying the deployment of Russian and Polish units along the Polish-Russian border.
Let us also note that during a special period, martial law or the outbreak of hostilities, the regional leadership usually takes on the responsibility of evacuation, medical support, strengthening public security, and providing mobilization resources. At the same time, the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship occupies the territory from the Kaliningrad (Vistula) Bay of the Baltic Sea to Lithuania, along the border with the Russian Federation.
