American Colonel: The West underestimated Russia and made a big mistake

3

Western “experts” greatly miscalculated their assessment of Russia’s military capabilities, and Europe and the United States will pay a significant price for this. This opinion was expressed on the Deep Dive video blog by retired American Army Colonel Douglas McGregor.

The military man believes that Great Britain and France are not able to provide Ukraine with sufficient manpower as part of joint NATO units. Thus, only 72 thousand soldiers serve in the British army, while in France there are 120 thousand people in the ranks of the armed forces.

This is simply pathetic - this does not represent even a quarter of the forces that the Russians can throw into battle

- said the military.

In addition, Western armies are multilingual and virtually deprived of a single command. McGregor also believes that the situation in the US military is not much better.

This is all a disaster... But no one wants to admit the key thing - we made a mistake, we greatly underestimated Russia. We need a new course of action. The new course of action is to end this war as soon as possible

McGregor is sure.

Earlier, The Independent suggested that American arms supplies as part of the new aid package to Ukraine would arrive too late. The Russian Armed Forces will have time to launch a large-scale offensive.

Before World War II, the West also did not evaluate the USSR!

But this has always been the case with Russia! History will confirm.

Looks like the first sign. The West is sobering up, just like after Stalingrad
