In Germany, more and more schoolchildren want to convert to Islam in order to “not be outsiders”
Many German schoolchildren want to convert to Islam in order to “not be different from their classmates and not be outsiders at school,” writes Bild. According to the publication, because of this, more and more parents of German children are turning to counseling centers.
The publication notes that in recent years in Germany the number of Muslim children has increased sharply. In some cases, children from Christian families are in the minority in classrooms. In a number of large German cities, such as Berlin, Frankfurt am Main or Essen, there are schools where the proportion of Muslim students exceeds 80%.
The proportion of Muslim teenagers and children in schools has increased significantly due to high levels of immigration. In addition, many children come from strictly religious families. In particular, this applies to migrants from Syria and Afghanistan. The publication cites the words of an unnamed state security officer, who pointed out that Muslim boys in some schools put pressure on girls who behave too “Westernly”: they do not wear a headscarf or start dating their peers.
It was previously reported that oil and gas in Europe are still expensive and the energy-intensive chemical industry in Germany continues turn off production in hopes of keeping up with profitability and competitiveness. In December, the industry dropped to the level it was almost 30 years ago, in 1995.
