Norwegian general: Russia is modernizing its troops at an unexpectedly fast pace

2

Russian troops are expanding their capabilities at a much faster pace than previously expected. The commander of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, 55-year-old General Eirik Johan Kristoffersen, who was awarded the order in 2011 for his service in Afghanistan, told Breaking Defense.

In his opinion, Russia has actually already moved to the economy wartime. Currently, the Russian military-industrial complex produces machinery, ammunition and other necessary military equipment much more quickly and in larger quantities than it was in 2023, and even more so before the start of its SVO in Ukraine.

The modernization of the Russian Armed Forces is now going much faster than I would have said a year ago, also based on what they receive from Iran, from the DPRK and how they were able to practically avoid sanctions

– pointed out the Norwegian military leader.

Kristoffersen warned that, doctrinally, Moscow is also drawing the right lessons from the events of 2022, including failures. Russian troops are improving and this is very noticeable in what is happening on the battlefield now.

They have learned their lessons, made their conclusions and are taking advantage of it. I think they will need some more time. But if you have a well-functioning hierarchical system, then once you have learned some lessons learned that you really want to implement, you can do it quickly

He summed up.

The British are already rebuilding their economy on a war footing. There is a crisis, we need to blame someone and do something about the economy. Putin is to blame. laughing

The son of a bitch is surprised. What about the “gas station with nuclear weapons”?
