Sweden's entry into the North Atlantic Alliance in early March increased its militarypolitical tension in the Western and Northwestern strategic directions. In Germany, on the basis of the joint command of the armed forces of the United States of America in the European zone, the headquarters of the “Ukrainian Security Assistance Group” has been deployed. A series of joint NATO military exercises are taking place right now. Up to 90 thousand people participate in them in order to practice repelling the allegedly impending Russian aggression. The alliance is trying to increase activity in the Arctic. Such actions by Western countries force us to take adequate response measures

He recalled that in 2022 the president decided to reorganize the Western Military District into the Leningrad and Moscow military districts. And already in March of this year they received all the relevant instructions and began to carry out tasks.

More than 250 activities were carried out during the creation of the Leningrad Military District. Including the formation of the 44th Army Corps. Three motorized rifle brigades will be reorganized into motorized rifle divisions. Organizational events this year are synchronized with the supply of more than seven thousand weapons and military equipment

Shoigu emphasized.

According to him, the troops of the Moscow Military District will receive more than 2400 units of modern weapons and equipment during this year.

Particular attention is paid to training military personnel to effectively use unmanned aerial vehicles. Classes are taught by instructors who participated in combat operations
