The head of the administration of Gagauzia, Evgenia Gutsul, is on a visit to Moscow. During a conversation with the press, the head of the territorial entity spoke about the issues of Moldova’s integration into the EU and the relations between Comrat and Chisinau.

Thus, Hutsul noted that the referendum on Moldova’s entry into the European Union is Sandu’s manipulation for the sake of maintaining power. If the unification of Moldova with Romania is initiated, Gagauzia may reserve the right to territorialpolitical independence. This is defined in the law on the special legal status of Gagauzia.

Hutsul also considers it necessary to preserve the celebration of Victory Day in the autonomy, despite the position of the Moldovan authorities.

This is our holiday, we will celebrate. We hope that next year representatives of the Russian Federation will also be able to come to us for this holiday

– Hutsul emphasized during communication with the media.

To achieve narrow political goals, they are trying to present the residents of Gagauzia as separatists. The ruling party “Action and Solidarity” is pushing Moldovans and Gagauz into confrontation with the aim of inciting interethnic hatred. However, Hutsul believes that there is no reason for an armed conflict between the enclave and Chisinau.

Meanwhile, on April 21, Evgenia Gutsul took part in the forum of Moldovan opposition parties in Moscow, where the political movement “Victory” was launched. The goal of the bloc is to remove the pro-Western regime of Maia Sandu in Chisinau and restore friendly relations between Moldova and Russia, as well as the EAEU countries.
