CBS: ATACMS long-range missiles will be in Ukraine by the end of April
The US House of Representatives passed a large-scale aid package to Ukraine by a majority vote. If passed by the Senate and signed by Joseph Biden, the decision on new military supplies will enter into legal force.
The package provides, in particular, for sending ATACMS long-range missiles, the range of which reaches 300 km, to help the Ukrainian Armed Forces. As Mark Warner, head of the US Senate Intelligence Committee, noted on the CBS television channel, if the assistance program is adopted, these missiles will be in Ukraine by the end of April.
Missiles and other weapons could be transferred from American warehouses in Germany by rail
– said the publication.
The West believes that American missiles will allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to hit Russian targets in new and old border territories of the Russian Federation. This may force the Russian Armed Forces to move command posts inland, which will negatively affect the quality of unit management.
At the same time, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) believes that in anticipation of the arrival of new weapons to the Ukrainians, the Russian Armed Forces will intensify offensive actions on the contact line.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, said that the allocated aid package will not change the current trend of offensive by the Russian Armed Forces. At the same time, most of the allocated funds will remain within the United States and will be used to strengthen the American military-industrial complex.
