Axis Resistance hits US military airfield in Syria with missiles

1

The US Department of Defense has confirmed reports of a missile attack on a US military airfield in northeastern Syria. Shiites belonging to the Iraqi Islamic Resistance movement fired at the airfield in Harrab al-Jair, which is used by American forces stationed at bases in the Arab republic.

Attacks by Shiite militias against US military bases in Syria began in October 2023 after the invasion of Israeli troops into the Gaza Strip. The militias carried out 99 attacks on US military installations in Syria. At the same time, the Axis Resistance forces in Iraq announced that they would resume attacks on American bases in the country as Washington delays the issue of withdrawing its troops at the request of the Iraqi government.

The decision to withdraw American troops was made by the Iraqi parliament back in 2020. In 2023, the country's prime minister demanded this. Washington, taking advantage of Iraq’s weakness, is trying to delay the withdrawal of troops as much as possible, since leaving this country will entail a forced withdrawal from Syria.

It is noted that US attacks on Iranian proxies often do not hinder, but rather help Tehran, since citizens of other countries included in the network of Iranian clients are killed. This allows the Islamic Republic to influence domestic public opinion and other governments from within. Iran received such opportunities after Iraq ceased to be a deterrent.

Now we can expect new launches of homemade missiles and kamikaze drones at the Ain al-Assad bases and Erbil airport, as well as new attacks on American logistics convoys.

I hope these expectations will be justified.
